Water is a key component in any weight loss plan. A basic rule of thumb is to drink 8-10, 8 fl. oz. glasses of water each day. Many people will need more water depending on their diet plans, body weight and activity levels.
• How much exercise do I need to get results?
There is not a specific exercise program required for the Envision Weight Loss Program. Each Envision Weight Loss packet will help you burn up to 500 calories more. Calories are also burned with physical activity and fat is lost when caloric expenditure exceeds caloric intake. Does this mean you need to jog 10 miles a day to see results? Absolutely not. If you are currently active, maintain your program or elevate it to call for greater intensity and/or endurance. If you are not currently active, start out slow. Begin with walking 3 times a week for 15-20 minutes and build up from there. Physical activity is not only essential for weight management, but it is important for complete well-being.

• What is CLA?
CLA (or Conjugated Linoleic Acid) is a fatty acid found naturally in meat and dairy products. Studies have shown that CLA assists in the reduction of body fat by "shrinking" our fat cells and by helping to maintain our lean muscle tissue. Tone, which is part of the Envision Program, was formulated with CLA as well as Omega 3 Fatty Acids. An overwhelming amount of research indicates Omega 3's ability to support immune function, assist in disease prevention and contribute to overall health. We recommend that Tone become an integral part of your diet, even after your weight loss goals have been met.
• What foods should I try to avoid when losing weight?
Try to avoid foods that have a high glycemic index rating. These foods include white breads, some pastas, potatoes, sweetened cereals, candy bars, soda pop, honey, and table sugar. These foods give you a quick burst of energy but then they leave you feeling hungry and lethargic a short time later. Recommended foods would be those with a low glycemic index rating, such as fruits, vegetables and whole grains. These foods leave you feeling full and raise blood sugar levels slowly and steadily.
Maximize:
• Monounsaturated Fats which include olive oil, avocados, nuts (walnuts or almonds) and seeds (sesame or flax).
• Omega-3 Fats such as those found in Tone.
Minimize:
• Saturated Fat such as red meat and full fat cheese.
• Trans-Fatty Acids such as those found in margarine and processed food items. Look for the words "partially hydrogenated" on the food label, which indicates trans-fatty acids.

• Which supplements are the most important?
This depends on your personal goals. What is essential for a non-exerciser will vary greatly from that of a routine exerciser. On the same note, supplements appropriate for a runner will differ from what a strength trainer should be using. However, the essential supplements for most active individuals are protein, creatine, EFAs/Omega 3s, and a quality multi-vitamin.
• I have a sensitivity to caffeine, which COMPLETE NUTRITION products can I take?
COMPLETE NUTRITION has several caffeine-free products that you can take: Tone, Balance, Amplify, Natural Man Vitamins, Natural Woman Vitamins, Inner Glow, Complete Smoothie, DetoxCare, DigestiCare and Natural Greens.
• Which exercises burn fat?
Any aerobic activity which you can to do 3-5 times a week for at least 20 minutes will help you burn calories. As long as you are expending more calories than you are consuming on a regular and consistent basis, then the fat/weight will come off. You should also consider weight training because the more lean-muscle tissue you have, the easier and quicker it is for your body to burn calories.
• Can I take pain relievers before a workout?
Experts cannot confirm if taking painkillers will prevent aches and pains. Most agree that it is better not to take them. Aches and pains are your body's way of telling you something. Masking that pain could aggravate a problem.
• How much should I weigh?
What is more important is the percentage of body fat to lean tissue. Since muscle weighs more than fat you may weigh more than you thought was average for your height and build. There is still much controversy around the "ideal" body weight. It is usually considered that a healthy body fat percentage for males is 12-15% and for females is 18-22%. You should have your body fat percentage monitored every few months to make sure that your current exercise/nutritional plan is working.
• What occurs when I reach my target heart rate?
When you achieve your target heart rate, your body releases adrenaline, causing your fat cells to release fat into the bloodstream. The muscle then burns it as a source of energy, causing the cells to shrink and making you look slimmer. It is also the level required to increase cardiovascular endurance.
