Popeye Power Shake Recipe

1  frozen banana, skin removed*

6 – 8  frozen strawberries*

2 cups  plain Greek yogurt

2 tbsp almond butter

½ cup  your favorite protein powder (vanilla recommended)

1 tbsp ground cinnamon

1 cup fresh spinach leaves, stems removed

½ cup  orange juice

½ cup  water (or ice equivalent)

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients to blender, leaving 1 inch of room at top of blender.
  2. Secure lid and blend on medium to high speed until all contents are smooth, but not liquefied.
  3. Pour and enjoy!

 *Many ready-to-use options are available in the freezer aisle of your grocery store; alternatively, any fresh fruit you like that starts to become overly ripe can be peeled, chopped, placed in a freezer bag and frozen for later use.
